The rest of the info is on the first page of the registration packet, so if you are at all interested in gaining speed during the important summer months (while every one else rests) please take the time to print out the Registration Form here or on our Forms Page and return it to Coach Eric ASAP!

Father Perez and the Sagar family will be in attendance to mark this special occasion.

By ccadmin, on October 28th, 2010 Novice Rowers and Parents are invited to the boathouse Sunday (October 31, 2010) morning for a Halloween scrimmage to close out the fall learn to row season.
The novice boys’ and girls’ teams will be in mixed boats and are highly encouraged to come in costume. Don’t worry, the coaches will be in costume too.
The event will be done by 10 AM.
Please email Coach Julie with any questions, and if you cannot make the event, please let your coach know ASAP.
By ccadmin, on September 15th, 2010 Mandatory swim test for all Novice (new) rowers
WHAT: Mandatory Swim test the test will consist of treading water for 5 minutes and swimming 100 meters (any stroke)
WHEN: Saturday September 18 at 8:00 AM
WHERE: Rixse Pool at Chinquapin Recreation Center, 3210 King Street, Alexandria (about 2 miles from BI)
COST: $1.50 (pool fee)
WHAT TO BRING: Rowers should dress for the swim test as they would for a rowing practice on the river: that is – shirt and shorts – NOT SWIMSUITS.
Also please bring a towel.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Coach Julie and Coach Sean will administer the swim test. Only rowers who have been tested will be allowed to practice on the water. Admission to the Chinquapin Recreation Center is strictly for the purpose of the swim test; the team is expected to remain together in the pool area with the coaches and adults until the conclusion of the test for all rowers.
